To help someone without any expectation of monetary gain or donation through resources is in itself a very noble thought, but it’s also one that comes with a lot of responsibility. The promise behind it would not work if it doesn’t involve the right infrastructure. Accountability is a bilateral process – the key to success for an institution where people entrust their lives, especially in a medical situation, where ignorance, noncompliance, or irresponsibility could cause severe damage. For a professional, it emerges from trustworthy decisions based on their academics, skill, and experience, while for a client, it emerges from compliance, responsibility, and a serious attitude. This relationship takes time, but once it’s developed, it becomes a faith that produces excellent outcomes. A volunteer institution sometimes requires more responsibility than an institution based on income. This is because of love and respect, which is worth more than any material possession. The Meraj Nasim Memorial Virtual Hospital and Himayat Ali Shair Foundation is an institution built on the name of two noble personalities by their own family members. It’s not only a foundation for others, but a journey towards spiritual satisfaction.
